Hi guys,

Sadly I haven't had any time to work on my entry for this year's contest due to other commitments. I've been trying to get myself a new job in web development for the past few months, and have spent most of my time learning the tools of the trade and rebuilding my website from scratch. I've finally managed to get myself employed, so now I'll have even less time.

I had two possible entries on the go, and I'd really like to find the time to complete them at some point. I had my usual line of GUI shake-ups in mind, with a very different way of using windows and controls on the desktop which lent itself to a more intuitive approach for left-handed users, and equally well in reverse for right-handed users. I even did a little bit of work on cleaning up the reams of code I used to create user-defined controls in my last couple of skins. It would be a shame to see the work go to waste.

I wish everyone in the contest the best of luck, and will be paying close attention to the submissions this year. May the best skinner win!

Good to hear you got a job Grayhaze...don't worry about the contest though. There are more in the years to come.

Very sorry to hear you won't be able to compete this year.  But congrats on the job, and hopefully we'll see you around when we try this whole thing again next time

Uh-huh Guess that means no Metal-X 3! A job is of course more important, so good luck in the next GUIC!
