I'm posting this here, rather than on the help or skinning boards, because I'm not sure where the problem actually originates from.
Since a few months ago I've noticed that clicking the mouse on titlebar buttons of windows has become increasingly unresponsive. Initially I just ignored it, thinking it to be a temporary issue with the current WindowBlinds build which would be fixed relatively quickly. It's now been a problem for such a long time however that I'm starting to wonder if it's related to something else entirely.
A typical situation would be where I have several windows open on my screen and I try to close one of them by clicking on the close button. The first click doesn't seem to register. The second click brings the focus to that window. The third, or sometimes fourth, click actually closes the window. After a while this becomes really irritating.
I've tried to think back on what software I installed around the time when the problem first appeared, but I'm pretty sure I didn't install anything desktop-related other than the usual ObjectDesktop updates.
Now this is where it gets weird. If I unload all the desktop enhancements and revert to the Windows Classic theme (this is on Windows XP btw), I
still get the problem. I'm pretty positive I don't have anything still running which would be related to the mouse or window controls, other than obvious things like the mouse driver. It's not a problem with the mouse itself, as would seem the obvious cause, because mouse clicks are perfectly responsive on other parts of windows and in games.
Has anyone else had this problem, and if so what did you find to be the cause. It's only a small thing, but when you're trying to close 10 browser windows in succession it tends to get under your skin.
